The qunari_update.zip file is to be extracted, and installed via DAUpdater.exe (located in your game's install folder/binship folder. Using WIndows default extraction tool should work as well, but those two are what were used. Note: Anything regarding extracting a download was done using either WinRAR () or 7zip (). Don't let the size of this wall of text intimidate, it actually isn't as bad as it may seem. If you don't wish to do this, I understand completely, and will try to provide something else based on your decision. So it may not hurt to try instructions from one who is experienced installing the very mods you had listed, and more. I recall you mentioning you had followed instructions to the very letter, but like llja had mentioned earlier, modding can be a pain.
Now based on the list you have provided of mods, I will offer instructions on how to install them.
Those mod managers don't work well with the game when installing mods. Never use Vortex or Nexus mod manager for mods regarding Dragon Age: Origins/ Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition. Hi CrashMagnet, this is ZDuke17, and I will try my best to help you.
Is there a better way to install the mods more cleanly, or even a reliably-working mod "package" I can just get that basically gives me some of the high-resolution and lore fixes? Dragon Age Redesigned (I've tried a couple different looks for party members) Some armor even changes textures/patterns repeatedly right in front of my eyes, without my interacting with it at all. I'm also seeing a fair amount of characters (companions and NPCs alike) whose hair and armor either don't show up, or show up white or transparent. Those are just a couple I took in the past few minutes. Most prevalent seems to be transparency in faces and eyes, "glossy"-looking textures, and clipping (mostly in faces), like so: After installing some of the mods from as directed there, and continuing to play for a bit, I wind up with a lot of graphical bugs. I've played the game through numerous times (though not entirely through on this Steam edition) and have two characters going right now.
